For me, Greg Williams.

You might not know a lot about him, hes an ex photo journalist who worked in such places as Burma, Chechnya and Sierra Leone in the 1990's. He now works in the film industry, notably recently on set on the James Bond movies. His recent books "Bond On Set" are full of candid portraits and intimate shots of the actors and crew, a massive feat as Daniel Craig is a VERY private individual. His latest work on the set of Quantum of Solace is stunning and I would recommend picking the book up, especially if you are into portrait and candid work. He also works in advertising, fashoin (Vogue etc) for BAFTA and various other things. Man, this is my dream job!!!!

Anyway, check out some of his stuff here;

Scroll across for the Bond work. Whenever I'm lacking inspiration I pick up one of his books.

Dave Hill and Joey Lawrence, just a bit of proof that photoshop isn't distasteful, well their success would suggest it anyway

Ian Tilton - I had the pleasure of shooting alongside him yesterday as his son plays lacrosse for the same club as me. My match had been called off so camera time.

Well it was my love for motorsport that got me hooked on photography and pictures from Patrick Gosling & David Goldman aka Gold and Goose of the Moto GP set me off.

Patrick Gosling has now split from Gold and Goose i believe and now does some stunning work for many large companys involving automotive rig shots on cars and making movies from still images but also his general standard of photography is an inspiration.

Also a name mentioned earlier which is Andrew Wheeler again Moto GP but he also has a love for equestrian photography.

Irving Penn
Robert Mapplethorpe
