Always enjoyed Abbot & Costello on a Saturday morning. The Virginian was a western that was a favourite of mine, one you don't hear many talk about.

Virgina was a classic

Andy Pandy & The Woodentops were my favourites :D

Triton (spying and a submarine during the Napoleonic wars).
Dr Who during the Patrick Troughton era.
Vision On
The Silver Sword (only shown once, to my knowledge, and I missed the final episode, though I'd already heard it read on Jackanory).
Jackanory for Roald Dahl, Clement Freud, Littlenose etc.
The Singing Ringing Tree
Deputy Dawg
Mighty Mouse

The Goodies and Laurel and Hardy (now have the complete DVD set). :D

Pogles Wood... Plaaaaaant!
anything Gerry Anderson

and that drama prog about two French pilots.. was it called Aeronauts?

Dr Who - the original one with the Daleks
Rawhide - with a young Clint Eastwood (Rowdy Yates), although I didn't know that then.
Stingray

Ah well, my wife is in her mid 50s and is still a bit antsy about the Daleks. I think she was traumatised when she was a kid................!

Tales of the Riverbank
Trumpton
Camberwick Green
Pretty much any of the BBC stuff
Latterly - Count Duckula (Nanny was just like my old Mum-in-Law....God love her:love:)

Duckula!! I've got some of those on DVD. Love David Jason. Forgotten about Magic Roundabout. And also Dangermouse!!

I'm not 42. A few years younger :)

Grange Hill as well. That was a classic with Tricia Yates and Tucker. Then Zammo and Roland and all the rest.

Wow! LOADS of memories... Makes me quite sad when I think of what kids are forcefed these days...

As for my faves from when I was little?

Dr Who (Jon Pertwee)
Another vote for Michael Bentine's Potty Time
Hong Kong Phooey
Banana Splits
The Monkees
Thunderbirds
Trumpton/Chigley/Camberwick Green

...and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned...

Tiswas

I was probably a little too old for all the 'typical' Cosgrove-Hall things, like Duckula, but they did a wicked cartoon when I was in my twenties called 'Victor & Hugo'... I used to tape that on a Friday afternoon and watch it in the early hours of Saturday when I rolled in from a good night out!

I forgot to say - I also used to like watching Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton movies!

Dear old Oliver Postgate. Ivor the engine and Bagpuss were favourites. Wasn't so fond of that other one that was his.

Oh and Chorlton and the Wheelies and the Flumps. And Take Hart with Morph and that strange caretaker.

Didn't like Tiswas. I was too young for it I think.

Also the Goodies. Just got into them as they finished. Kitten Kong!!
