Hi folks got my first developed film back for the FG and its got an odd fault there is a sloping dark band line about 2/3rds down the image, its looking like its on all the images that I have scanned so far any thoughts? its a pondland film devved @ Jessops.

Does the line slope continuously down the whole film or does it start in the same place on each frame?

I'm inclined to think that it's either your scanner or the development, have you put a different film through the scanner to make sure it's not that?

looking at the pics its the same place in all the prints, i have used the scanner the other day and no issues but will rescan some now. This is the first film through this FG so nothing else to compare against for this camera.

That does look like a scanner issue... I think mine did that when I had a teeeeeeeny tiny speck of crud in the area that must be clear...
Of course, if its a film problem, a very close look at the negs will give you the answer to that.

''prints''? So are you scanning prints or the negs?
If it's the latter I'd be inclined to say it's an issue with the scanning. Try rescanning one or two.
Btw, I get strange lines when scanning home developed C41 film. I think it's because the negs are not sitting comfortably in the holder and are touching the glass.

sorry its negs, just grabbed an old film and run a neg through and perfect (old neg so not mint) it must be on the newly developed neg...
dont' think its scanner, either developing or a camera fault.

I would have to scan some more but would say the same place in every frame, could it be a shutter issue on the camera?

Doubtful, shutter issues tend to manifest as overexposure rather than under. I'm starting to think it's a bit of contamination from the development, probably some chemicals on the rollers in the processor.

inclined to agree, look at the pic of the metal post, the general colour looks really flat yet look at the band that looks very clear and natural?

That seems the best answer
