Farming out Post image work?

Hi Guys, Any one know where I can get my images cleaned up?

The lighting is at the best that can be done but as you shoot throught the day bits of mud and scuff makes apear theogh the shoot.

We shoot nearly 7,800 portraits a quarter and in need of extra help in the post work dept.

We, at present pay 30p per image to clean up white vinyl floor shots.
One 3rd of what we take is chroma-key so is not an issue.

With more bookings on for the New Year We need some one or a firm that can clean up and check images before they go to the lab.

At present have 2 freelance chaps that check the post images.

If you know or interested in helping out please Let me know.

We will need your CRB certifcate reg number. As all the work is with children.

Why does a post processor need a CRB? how are they working with children?, if your farming it out chances are they'll do it at their premises. It sounds more like you need to employ someone full time as an assistant/processor to me.

Everyone we use needs a cert. Makes us feel better in the knowledge Child images. I want to know at least they are ok and sending pics off to Sado websites. It can close loose you so much work getting a bad rep.

Has nothing to do with working with the kids. Its for us.

How would you feel when freelancing work out, that your images are suddenly appearing on some sad loosers pc? or web?

Can not take any risk even when nothing is full proof. just have to show we are doing the best we can.

We will be taking on staff soon but not untill next year when we will be getting new Offices.

One problem you might find is people can't CRB themselves, and as it's case specific one from another job is meaningless, the only real answer is for you to CRB them, and that costs.
It also only means that they had no convictions for sexually (or serious) related offences at the time of checking, it doesn't mean they won't send your pics off to dodgy website, just they had not been caught (But I do see your point of view) Theres also a new system starting around now I think that will provide better protection maybe?, time will tell.
