Everyone always slates customers but rarely do you see people praising them,so...

I've had a mad day today so ordered a Pizza from Domino's when I got home from work, it normally takes 8mins from ordering to delivery!

Times got away with me and just realised 40mins has passed, given them a call, explained I had been a prize tool and the response straight away was "Not a problem Mr Haines, it's been here a while. We'll make you a fresh one and have it with you shortly!"...

Gotta love it when companies do right :D

Were they originally expecting you to collect it then? That's rather nice of them to send out a fresh one :)

Yup, I ordered then realised any pizza, any size etc so restarted but forgot to tick deliver rather than collect so it sat there for a good while...

Phoned them to ask if they could deliver it as had already had a drink or two lol. Didn't expect them to make a fresh one and was amazed at the fact they offered so quickly :D

Conversely, I once ordered a pizza from dominoes and when it turned up, the guy gave me my change including a manky fiver he'd pulled out of his sock! :gag:

:D:D:D He was hoping you wouldn't feel hungry after that and give him the pizza as a tip!

I hope you washed your hands before you ate it! :gag:

8 mins from ordering to delivery.

Do

a) You live about domino's pizza?

b) They have the world's quickest pizza oven

c) They employ Valentino Rossi their delivery driver

or

d) All of the above?

So....'A' if you do your own typo corrections :p

Seriously though...8 mins? It takes them longer than that to take my order at my local (none dominos) place

It's about a two minute drive and my previous lodger used to have pizza twice a week lol so they know the address well... 8mins happened twice, avg time is 15mins, I might have excagerated a tad

While the service may be good I think £10 for cheese on toast is a bit rich

Last time we had a Domino's pizza, it wasn't so much cheese on toast as cold cheese stuck to the lid of the box. Having got dressed (I had just had a bath and was in my dressing gown when it arrived), I still managed to get to the shop before the delivery guy got there. On explaination as to why I was less than impressed, I then got to hear the manager tearing the delivery guy a new one while my fresh, twice as big pizza was going through the grill. AND they gave me a refund.

Still won't go back there though - there's a better one that's closer and we rarely have dial-a-pizzas now anyway - prefer curries or Chinese.

Have to say, take away pizza is not a patch on eating in a restaurant so if we want one at home we get them from Aldi. If we want a restaurant pizza, we go to Pizza Express, Ask or Zizzi's

:plusone: Agree on all the points in bold!! Pizza Express is 4 mins away!!

Mmmmmmmmmmm Zizis's calzone.....

Mind you, there's also a great pizza place near Hania in Crete but last time we were there, the owner got a bit ****ed and overcharged us (or tried to) so we won't be going back.

I much prefer actual italian pizzas that you collect/get delivered from actual italian places (typically not chains!). You don't feel like you're eating a lump of dough and grease :p

Our local P E chain has a top class Italian Chef! Never had a complaint with him!! Fantastic food!

i used to order 2 or 3 pizza's a week from domino's, the joys of working 100 hours a week!

Had such a good deal with the place they would deliver it to a gateway, or to a field if they could get the car into it...when i rang up they asked where and i said, they normally replied 'ok we'll send Cliffy'
he drives a landrover and would always bring it to the field!

We got 8 of them delivered to the SECC on setting up day at Model Rail Scotland. You shoulda seen the envious looks n drool from everbody who dosen't know how to se their phones n order their own! :)

Pepperoni with extra pepperoni and pepperoni!

i used to work for them when i was 18 top up the weekly pay

i used to be on min wage for a 21 yr old and £1 a delivery tax free plus tips

thoery is the more you deliver the more coin you earn

and yes 8 mins is bloody fast

1 mins to make it from scratch ie from the dough spreading to toppings and then 4 -5 mins in the oven so it must be valentino rossi delivering it

Yes. :cuckoo:

I like meat, more meat and some meat on mine.
With plenty o cheese.

Incidentally, what does each pizza actually cost Dominos? Bet it no very much.

Probably not a lot but after a long crap week I'm more than happy to pay £10 for someone to deliver something hot thats going to fill me up...

Normally have half & half with one half always being peperoni, this time I had Nacho's on it as well to see what they were like and it was v. nice...

Why do you live in a field?

i work on a farm during harvest....i spent 15-18 hours a day in my tractor, it's more like home with fridge, tv/dvd and a fridge full of beer
