On the Wright Stuff this morning, it seems women fancy a man with Garlic smelling breath and armpits! Really? I have got a few friends who smell strongly of garlic all the time, as they are into healthy eating. Whenever they are in my car, their breath makes me sick and I have to open the window. My ex used to eat lots of garlic, and I must say it did put me off on crucial days ;) . In short, I find people who smell strongly of garlic, on their breath body and clothes not very pleasant.

Or maybe it is only a turn on for women, and off putting for men. Although Christopher Biggins was on the panel, and he found smelly men a turn on

Ah well, the froggies will be alright.

I have no idea where they did their research but just.... Ewwwww :hungover:

I do have to admit I did love beef and green pepper that I used to make years ago, it was full of garlic. I wondered why girlfriends soon dumped me :( . I don't eat Garlic any more, me and the missus have been together for years now

Garlic seeps out of your skin if you eat a lot :p
I love garlic but how anyone can find it pleasurable sniffing armpits needs meds

Blimey...you must have to eat a lot for that to happen!

Hang on a minute...

...:puke:

I always thought some people wore a gas mask for kinky sex, I realise now it is probably just their partners garlic breath. Better to say you want kinky sex, rather than hurt your partners feelings ;)

I read some place American soldiers possibly Vietnam war, purposely started to eat local spicy food to literally smell like the locals. The local fighters could smell if American soldiers were near by, simply by the food odour seeping through the sweat of their skin.

I didn't know that...very smart move I guess :)

I love garlic, can even eat the cloves raw :) not that do often.
As for the smell, well I used to give it to my dogs as it has many benefits, but they did get a bit smelly
at times

Ahh yes, but do you have many friends ?

I love garlic but not as a raw snack! Luckily, Mrs Nod likes it too, so as long as we both have some, we're OK. Always thought that all Alliums were toxic to dogs and cats and a quick Google would seem to conform that BUT it also turns up garlic supplements for pets... Doncha just love the interweb??? I know what effect garlic (and onions!) has on ME, so there's no way I'm feeding it to the cat...

Our dog loves spicy food, and everything that is bad for them. She loves onions curry, and chilli sauce. If me and the missus come in with a Lamb Bhuna, the dog just will not leave us alone. Caught her drinking my Malibu once, the dog not the missus :)

Am I missing something here. Why can't you shower and brush your teeth properly?

I eat a lot of garlic and onions yet I don't smell of it.

Soaps and tooth brushes where invented for a reason

I am allergic to the evil bulb, will just have to get those sweaty armpits going overtime

Even if you brush your teeth and get a shower, the smell seeps out of your skin. That is the point you are missing ;)

Same with strong onions.
Ghastly smell.

Just had loads of garlic cooked with some roast potatoes - usually take 4 whole garlics (whole ones not just individual cloves) and slice them in half and roast them with the spuds.

Mmmmmm - that sounds lovely :)

But they go with Steak and mushrooms nicely. Just a pain to peel and cook out.

And that does.

To be fair, I like garlic.
In fact, I like garlic A LOT . . . but as an ingredient in my food, not to inhale from somebody's armpits :hungover:
