Fancy a lap round the Top Gear track with The Stig?

I got all excited then I clicked on the link.


:eek::eek::eek: Good lord!!!! HOW MUCH!?!?!?!!

At least it is for a good cause :thumbs: I think it is great there doing this, will raise loads of money as we can see.
 
Yup, I thought I found myself a "cheap" way to get on TV .. not!

Out of curiousity, why is he called The Stig? .. and, is he a he?

The Stig's name derives from presenter Jeremy Clarkson's days at Repton School; where, according to Clarkson, new students were always called "Stig".[2] A proposed name for the Stig was originally "The Gimp" until protests from Perry McCarthy put a stop to the idea.[3] There have been two official Stigs on the show, while various other Stigs have made cameo appearances for particular episodes

True or not, I am not sure? :shrug: But yes, definately male, current one is mainly Ben Colins, though of course various guest Stigs have featured for different stuff.

Or just buy an old Transit van (as that's what it is underneath) and cut the roof off, then spend the change getting very, very drunk :lol:

NB: Due to the very hectic nature of filming, it is possible the lap could be postponed at short notice but the Top Gear team will endeavour to ensure this doesn't happen and that you have the most fantastic experience.

paying for a possible lap lol.

its good as its for a good cause though, over 15000 now
