I posted this elsewhere but I thought it was worthy of its own thread as posters of a certain age may find it amusing.

Someone has done an analysis of the photographs taken by NASA astronauts on the moon and have just about conclusively proved the landing to be fake.

I have to say the evidence is pretty conclusive. The analysis can be found here.

I challenge anyone to come up with a different conclusion from the evidence provided.

the only reason the americans lied is to honour the will of JFK to beat the Russian to the moon...

I actually watched the documentary (I use this term loosely) about the so called conspiracy, didn't believe a word any of them said on it. The biggest flaw with the whole theory is the fact that the lunar module was "modular", made up of the ascent module and descent module. The latter was left behind and with todays technology, I believe we can actually see it.
 
Of course they aren't fake ... I believe in The Clangers, don't you ?

I wish they'd spin the Hubble around and proove it once and for all!!
 
its a strange situation isnt it, but even with the state of video then and the fact they didnt have HD. It still looks really fake.

But then ive seen a million and one conspiracy videos on the moon and its characteristics so i could be mentally insane by now :lol:
 
By heck. I always knew that it was fake. Those clangers. And baskets on the moon :lol:

If you want proof just to a search for "The Apollo 11 lunar laser ranging retroreflector array" and all the proof you need is there.

Hubble cannot see close object less than several meters in size so would never see anything left on the moon.

It's simple why you cant see stars in the photo from the moon , it Dynamic Range. The moon surface is so bright the camera didn't then and don't now have the dynamic range.

Same reason there are no starts in this shot of the Vatican

anybody that watches mythbusters on discovery channel will have seen how they totally debunked the conspiracy theorists efforts quite easily, every single one of them. They even fired a laser at the reflector on the moons surface from Apollo 15 i think it was.

They showed how the astronaut would be illuminated by the reflectivity of the moons surface, showed how shadows would fall differentyl dependant on the terrain in the shot etc etc :)

Love that site though very funny :)

I watched the program & it was quite convincing, however I'm not happy about their shadow experiment. Their "single light source" was only about 3m away & therefore directional movement of shadows, due to terrain is going to be exaggerated compared with the distance to the Sun.

Also, I know Mythbusters isn't exactly scientific but, on this occasion, they had clearly made up their mind in advance & did the experiments in association with NASA!!!!
 
Have you seen the picture where the crosshair etched onto the glass appears to be partially covered up by the subject?
 
They certainly dropped a "clanger" ( or three or several :D) with those photos
There have been a few programmes over the recent years about how the moon landing was fake (d)
I remember watching it "live" at school at the time it had everyone spell-bound
Thinking back of course I doubt very much if the technology would have been available, but like everyone else at the time "we lapped it up"

There is also a great line from pink floyed " there is no dark side of the moon as a matter of fact its all dark"

Now who else is going to hold their hand up and admit they thought the site was real, up until you looked at picture 4. Then realised that the likely hood of Grandma giving you a basket of food to take to the moon was a bit unlikely?

:shake: I think I need some sleep, my eyes are playing tricks on me :lol:
