Facebook 'where you work'

You guys have probably noticed on you FB profile you can have your page listed under your employment but I cant seem to add mine for some reason.

Any ideas why not?

Sorry what do you mean by 'not listed'?
 
I just clicked on where you work and started to type in my FB page - it came up as an option. Just tick the box for 'currently work here' to make it 'Works at' (instead of 'Worked at - which would suggest it was now closed!)

Thats the probklem tho. As soon as I start to type in my FB page - it doesnt come up as an option :(

I dunno if you need over a certain number of likes or something...:thinking:

Might be down to what type of facebook page you have, not that I have a clue!

Hmmm, yes your right it is a community page. Thats the first time Ive realised that. I can't find a definitive answer on google, any ideas if you can change your FB Page to a business one from a community page?

Hi Jimmy, I'm sure you can one way or another! I'll let you know when I can get on the pc. ( it'll be a case of clicking on anything and everything on my page tho ;) )

Edit page (In admin panel if it's not across the top when you visit your page )
Update info
Then you should see Category

Or

Settings
Basic information
Then Category

I have both of mine set to local business

I done this but still can't add my page to ny personal profile 'place of work' :bang:
 
That is a strange one. :thinking:

I just tried to add your business as my place of employment and yours is not in the search results, there is two other James Whites with photography businesses that come up and a Jim White but yours is missing. But, if I search for you on the main search field at the top of the screen it finds you.

Have a good look through your settings and see if theres a check box for 'do not show in listings' or something. That's just a guess though!
