Facebook: So far today.

I'm a bit late to this party, so apologies if I'm sounding a bit slow, but can I check that I understand this?

It's OK for @Pookeyhead to post inane drivel here, because he is totally unconcerned about what we think.

But it's not OK for his "friends" to post inane drivel on Facebook because... err... run that one past me again?

I'm not forcing you to read this though Stewart. Stuff on my Facebook wall I am forced to read. I can block that content... but not before I've already been forced to read it.

You on the other hand, didn't have to read this thread, nor in actual fact, do you need to read anything I say at all. Either block me, or just ignore any thread I start.

I do actually. It's an important means of keeping up with certain industry individuals, and groups that don't use Twitter. I use it extensively for work too.

Don't like this thread... don't read the thread. I can't imagine what else you and Stewart are doing in here other than pick a fight with me.

I really don't care what you use it for, the fact remains that you could use other means to contact each and every person you have on facebook.
No-one holds a gun to you head and insists you use facebook. You CHOOSE to.
Insisting that you absolutely positively HAVE to use it is daft.

I thought it was an excellent first post. Feel free to carry on. Echoed pretty much a lot of the feelings I get when going on FB. Although I have "unfollowed" a few now so dont get quite so much b******t.

But if these people and groups are posting inane drivel like 'Which dwarf are you?', why do you feel you need to keep up with them?
 
Not everyone who posts on FB are inane drivel posters. Most, but not all.

Because not everyone on my "friends" list does? When they do, they're no longer on the friends list. However... until they do, I've no idea where the next Candy Crush invite, or Which Flavour Fruit Pastel Are you is going to come from have I?

Why are you taking this thread so seriously anyway?

I shall hang you by your balls, they deny sending it.
Either they don't want to be hung by their balls, or its a random "mail shot" from FB itself.
