Facebook is getting .......................

So many use Facebook and it's an integral part of modern life.

I mean, how else will you know what is for my dinner.

or when you regurgitate it:puke:
Thankfully I seem to have a better class of friends.........................well mostly ;)

It's not an integral part of my life.

There's always one or two that slip through ;)

I hope they don't actually bring in a dislike button as I can see it causing a world of bitching and moaning and as I admin several groups on Facebook that is one haste I really can do without

Surely the solution is to let the OP decide if it's a 'like' or 'dislike' topic?

Boom! Llamaman saves the internet. As you were, mortals ;)

Surely there is more important things in live than be concerned about a like or dislike? I really don't get the importance people attached to such things...Sometimes you like something, sometimes you don't. No big deal I would have thought.

I'm not concerned about the button or the like/dislike, I'm concerned about the effect just an action with have on the groups I am an administrator on, we all no people can be petty and juvenile in the semi anonymous land that is the internet

I can see it bringing on a few arguments, say someone posts a photo, you don't think it's great, it's out of focus, horizontals are far off from level the kid has chocolate all over its face, but great auntie Dot thinks it's lovely, next minute your been cruel and picking on a lovely family photo for disliking it

No different than on here or anywhere in society. Critique doesn't seem to be taken anymore. Person at bus stop, bird on branch, person on bench, bird on branch etc. boring yet many provide super positive comments.

Yes. I've unfriended people for sharing "another angry voice" or "campaign for nuclear disarmament" material and those who shared pro Scotland separist material. A facepalm or dislike button wouldn't be sufficient for "people" who like that sort of claptrap.

Unfriending people for wanting Nuclear disarmament?

Anyway, I think it's a bad idea to have a dislike button, despite Facebook's reasoning. There's enough negativity on social media already.

A warning has been issued for this post

You have to understand Stephen is so right wing that he even hates his own shadow as you know it's a bit dark

if you LIKE somehting on FB then everyones happy (usually)

If you DISLIKE something then the OP will ask why and you will explain and so many many arguments will start like that.. FB will just get worse..

I used to say FB or indeed anyhting on the internet isn't real life and was never bothered.. still not that much to be fair.. But I hae come to realise that so many other people see FB as part of life.. they are on it any chance they get and they take everyhting so seriously :(

When i give up photogrpahy as a business.. the first thing I am doing is turning the internet off and reclaiming my life :)

The potential downsides of a dislike are easily overcome as per post #48.

Your pulling my leg surely?

The vestigial one that looks like a willie (only smaller and bifurcated...)

I found Facebook's dogma spouting illiterate idiot "friend's" views so disgusting I've suspended my account. (Cos I could find find a "stick my account up your a**e" one)
The news has been upsetting me too lately, but then no one wants to see, hear or read good news do they?

So we don't watch the news now and try to stay away from newspapers too.

It's actually very liberating!

Almost there, the vestigial limbs look like small claws one either side of the vent.
Its the Hemipenis that is forked, just like the tongue :p

Can I just say if I'm supposed to have a notification for this I haven't had one

Not that I'm that fussed either way alert or not, just find it amusing that had I not looked at the thread again I'd have no clue that I'd been warned
