Facebook buys Instagram for $1b

That's more than enough to buy Kodak 12 times over, according to PetaPixel. How things change...
 
I don't like the way these mergings are going.
Already starts to feel like you can't do various things without having an account at google or facebook.
 
Know that feeling - half the interweb sign ups require you to log in with one or the other. Still not got a facebook account5 yet though.

Oh, and as far as Instagram is concerned............*Waits for TOS to change*

Ya same here. I'm anti facebook. There is enough info bombardment as it is.

I really don't care if x is dating y and z is sitting on the bog.

It's an excellent platform for bullying as well.
 
I can't help thinking that money could be put to better use, imagine how much good that could do for deprived areas - but still, that is the nature of commerce. :shrug:

Ya I agree, its about power and influence. I mean how much can Zuckerberg spend in one lifetime?

Same with a power monger like Murdoch, money is nothing to him, he wants to influence governments to his self centred ethic. (also known as capitalism)
