What ready made base? :nono: Make your own with fresh yeast, your never go back trust me! I had to use that packet yeast last time and i cant tell you how horrible it was conpaired to the fresh. You can get it in Sainsburys (ask at the bakery bit) you can get a big block for 99p or smaller for cheaper!

Was asked THE question by a colleague yesterday - "I want to buy a DSLR,
which one should I go for?" I took mine in today for her to have a play with
so she could work out if she liked the Sony controls/menus. I then took this
shot of her whilst I was demonstrating it. ​

She liked the handling of the Sony but she has a Nikon film SLR and she would be able to use the lens from that. I told her to do the usual and go to a shop and try them all out. Of course, I pointed her in the direction of this place as well.

Quite pleased that I managed to get the focus point on the eye for
this one, it's usually one of my weaknesses with wide apertures.​

Halloween! :annoyed:

So annoyed this evening. Sue went downstairs to answer the door to trick or
treaters to find a group of teenage lads just holding masks. When she told
them to take one treat each. One lad grabbed a handful and ran off, she pulled
the bowl back and shut the door and turned off the doorbell. It's kids like that
that ruin it for others, we won't be bothering next year, I'm sooo angry!​

Same thing happened here a couple of years back, (teenagers in normal gear plus a mask).
So now we hide in our own home, sad isn't it. All the curtains closed and lights off.
I'm not giving free stuff/money to people that could be out working.

Day 305

One trip to Ikea later

My old desk was huge but my actual working space was miniscule, it seemed
to be more storage that desk so I now have this far more simple but much
more spacious desk with the two shelving units on the right for the storage.
My office is still a mess but that'll be next weekend's little project. ​

I must get me a nice chair like that too.

Forgot to mention, the cupboard thingy to the left of the desk is whats left of the old one.

The chair is an old one Merv and, if I'm honest, a little too bulky for the room but Having spend out on the desk and shelves I'd have been pushing my luck with a new chair as well.

It's about twice the size of my office/man cave, I am jealous of the chair though.
