Scabby

Sue was picking Miki's scabs today! :gag: He seems to have got into a scrape
as he has a nice chunk out of his head. Had to get the vet out to Tinta
yesterday. Someone remind me again why we have animals!

Those scabs abscess very easily.
The top comes off pretty easy though and you can treat it with salt water, the green goop absolutely stinks!

Yeah, Sue has used salt water on it. Strangely enough, it was an for an abscess that the vet had to come out to Tinta yesterday.

Not funny paying £40 for something so easy to treat is it?

£40, I wish! It's a £70 call out plus £36 for the sedation and then there's the antibiotics. Can't wait for the invoice to arrive! :gag: With the excess on the insurance it's going to be a toss up whether it's worth claiming or not. And we think photography is an expensive hobby!

And you can see that he is "really" enjoying the attention Marc :D

Aloe Vera is pretty damned good for smaller wounds, I use it on the dog the Hawks
and me

Cheers Chris, I'll mention that to Sue.

Aww poor thing.

Where was Tinta's abscess?

£70 call-out! I take it that was out of hours?

The abscess was on her chin. It was 3.30 on a Tuesday afternoon, he ain't cheap but he's bloomin' good.

Good to hear she's doing well

And congrats to your good self :notworthy:

Cheers Merv. The only thing is, Tinta is very crabby because she is sore at the moment and she keeps biting the other horses n the field. Of course, this will be what Ill be like when I get the invoice from the vet! :D

Wouldn't be without Simba & Minky!

Great pictures Sir Marc!

It is really boring to watch. Been to a fair few in my time!!

I can imagine it being quite difficult light wise??

Can be a nightmare indoors, especially when you have skylights on a sunny day. also had a second friend also riding today but needed the end doors closed so the only place I could go was the balcony, not good for sooting

I love watching the higher level stuff, just to see the horses move but id rather be doing a test myself :) I just started to do it when i ended up moving up here and losing the sand school :(

'd love to shoot some high level, just for the way the horses and riders look.

Just a quick note to let you all know that this afternoon we head off to Birmingham to fly out to Kefalonia in the morning so I will not be around for a couple of weeks. Haven't had time to take a photo yet today so will have to do that this evening and will post it with the holiday piccies when I get back.

TTFN!
