Fabs' 365 for 2009.....Fin

And Chris, just as well I've just eaten the last grape! :naughty:

Something to try when you get some more - Will make an interesting picture.

You can also make a light-bulb light up in a microwave. Put the 'capped' metal end in a cup half filled with water and put it in the microwave. it causes the light to light up. Dont do what i did once when showing someone and forget to put water in the cup - what a bang

Do you watch Braniac: Science Abuse by any chance? :D

I have to try grape plasma.
What are the chances of needing a new microwave after?

Insurance will cover it.
Faulty microwave
Had a new 70-200 in there too, receipt went up in the fire.

3 weeks without chocolate Marc, I did 6months when they thought I was lactose intolerant. However I think its returning *sob* no milk, no cheese, no chocolate, no pastry, no life

I was doing this stuff way way way before brainiac.

I was the kid who ignored the instructions when it says do not put metal objects in the microwave. My inquizitive side just got the better of me :D

Have you tried the foil crisp packets

Oh don't. I've just said on another thread how I would love a 35mm 1.8 but Sony only do a 1.4 which is over a grand! :bang:

I used to do them under the grill when I was a kid (No microwaves in those days sonny!;))

Day 174

Pluto's Return

I have my first paying gig for a long time tomorrow and it will almost certainly
involve using the 70-200 with a camera mounted flashgun. I haven't used on
camera flash for a while so had a play today with the settings in what I hope
will be the approximate light levels (Don't know the venue but it will almost
certainly have flourescent lighing which I don't have at home so it really is a
guestimate). Anyway, it involves photographing children and adults so I
thought I'd bring the next best thing out and see what I could do. :D

Nice Marc  Thats way outta this planet
& Just be grapeful that I am off now  :D

Cool!
What's the gig? I know I could do with something, FAST!

It's groups of children asking questions of a panel of adults in a law firm in London.

Groooooooaaaaaaaaaannnnn!! :tumbleweed: Thanks Chris. ;)

I sense, 2.8, 1/200 -1.7 flash ev??

*ahem!* 2.8, 1/80, TTL flash. ;)

omg im gonna have to try that!

Loving the pluto shot but im a sucker for teddies!

Thanks Lisa. Ironically I bought Pluto for Sue from Disneyland Paris when on the last gig I did for today's client. :D

Day 175

Day175.jpg

Phew!

Well the job went really well yesterday. This is one of the panel but 99% of the
shots were of the children. It was a very interesting day with children of all
ages, from what appeared to be a group of East London schools, asking
questions on crime, education and the environment, to a panel of adults which
included the Deputy Mayor of London. We also had our end of year social and
awards ceremony last night (more of that later) so was absolutely shattered
at the end of it all, but all in all, a very satisfying day!

Great shots Marc as ever. Blimey they're sharp!

So when are you starting your photography school business?

Day 176

Day176.jpg

E I Addyo, I won the cup! :woot:

We had our annual end of season social at camera club last night where the
year's awards were given out. I was presented with this cup for coming first in
the Portfolio competition (I also came second! :D). It was a nice surprise as I
wasn't expecting it (Was my first year with the camera club).I would have done
this photo last night but I was far too knackered!

:woot:

I am going out for a day togging soon with a PRO who has won cups and everything :woot:

well done again mate:thumbs:
