Fabs' 365 for 2009.....Fin

Excellent Macro Marc - Must get myself a decent Macro for the D700. Always had a Siggy 150mm and they've always done me proud so i dont see any reason to deviate from that plan :)

Catching up - Steering away from the SP's seems to have worked Wonders  We should deviate a theme a week  This week I think you should do whatever photographs in black and white *grin* :D There you go, no more looking for a theme! :p

And as for the Macro items....I have the Sigma 105 too :D

Day 102

Market Museum

Spent the day at the Greenwich meet. Have to say I was quite uninspired
photographically and took the least pthotos I've ever taken at a meet. That
said, I had a great time and I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. :D

I am so getting some coconut macroons today

Glad you see your enjoying the different aspects of photography and your macro stuff is very good

Should have a caption, "they want me to play what??"

Was there an art exhibition on?? I like a good gallery.

It was the art section of the market.

Thanks Ruth. I am enjoying more than I ever have I think.

Day 103

Beer!

I bought four sheets of A1 card from Hobbycraft, two white and two black, to
use as backdrops for photographing small items that are too big for the
lightbox. I also want to rig up some sort of stand to hold it but for now I've just
propped it up against a couple of bottles. This was my first attempt. I had to
do some burning as the black background came out way too light.

Oh my, and heres me trying to go cold turkey on my macro lens for a while.......
Some lovely floral shots their, nice cats eye too.

Sometimes, when the 'mojo' is not there, its good to have a laugh and forget about the pictrues for a while :)

Marc, I can't believe I've been absent from this thread for so long:eek:....humble apologies.:$:thumbs:

I've missed to many to comment in detail so will just say I'm pleased to see you're still at this and that although I have really enjoyed your self portraits it's good to see you extending your subject material. The macro week was excellent!

Mark

Thanks Dizzy. Where are you now then?

we were on a family holiday in San francisco. I'm not sure why, but my better half didn't seem overly impressed about the idea of me sitting on the laptop in the hotel room looking at TP all night. Women...

The macro stuff was great. I'm still blown away by your cats eye! I'd be missing an eyeif I tried to do that to one of ours!! The black card work is wonderful. Great work, sir!

Thanks Mark. I really enjoyed doing the Macro Week so I may well repeat it.

Have to agree with Mark, Marc  Loads of experimentation! :)

Cheers Phil.

Black card shots working really well, what kind of lighting setup you using?

Thanks SM. I'm just using the two flashguns off camera.

Oooh Looks Like hobbycraft worked well ;)

Yep, they're a great source for these bits and pieces and not too expensive either.

Thanks a lot dizzy. I've persuaded Sue that it would be a good idea to take a laptop on holiday this year so I can upload and edit photos, I'll be in real trouble if they have Wi-Fi! :D
