Fabs' 365 for 2009.....Fin

Funny thing about our two is Simba nearly twice his sisters size!!

We had him checked out at our vet. He's not overweight but merely the big one of the litter!

Behind the Mask

Some days I feel like I'm wearing a mask. Pretending to all and sundry that all is well, when I know it's not. This isn't a whinge, this applies to everyone, not just me. This morning I popped to the shops and bumped into someone I know, not particularly well and they don't know about the MS, but just someone I just see around from time to time. It was then a case of the usual:

"how are you?"

"I'm fine, yourself?"

"I'm fine"

Now I don't really want to go into detail about my every problem, but sometimes I really want to shout "NO! I FEEL LIKE CRAP!" and this morning I did. But I just kept my mask on and said "I'm very well thank you".

So, I take my mask everywhere, but every now and again, it comes off and I can be myself again and can genuinely say "I'm very well thank you". This afternoon I feel much better this afternoon and my mask is in the desk drawer at the moment so I can now genuinely say that I am quite well!

So, where's your mask? ;)

Blimey it's Marc the Hoodie!

Great picture btw and story.

Glad to see this is still running Marc
day ten is very clever

Day 9 reminds me of something  didn't Malcolm McDowell
have a similar pose in the "Clockwork Orange" "adverts"?

Oh dear fabs we will be seeing you as an extra in Eastenders next week.

Great shot keep them coming

Thanks Chris. Not sure about the Clockwork Orange, will have to watch the DVD again. The only reason the hat is there is because I didn't feel like showing the top of my bald head!

Leave it aht bro! :D

Great photo Fabs!!

I know what you mean about the mask....

most peeps ask the mandatory "How are you" when really they couldnt care less anyway!! Next time go into a lengthy drawn out reply and see if he crosses the street next time he sees you heading your way!

really good shot, again! You're becoming a real inspiration.

Great post Marc I can relate to this as Im sure will many others, I suffer from depression (not diagnosed as I've never seen a doctor in years and don't want to take any pills etc.) but I just get on with it and always tell people I'm fine, I dont like telling other people my problems, I don't want their sympathy or even worse sarcastic comments so I just keep it to myself.

I always find it suprising when someone doesn't respond with the expected answer.

That'd be me then :D

I always tell it like it is and some people are taken aback when they dont get the answer they want / expect

PS - Cracking shot Marc, and agree about it being one of the best 365's on here at the moment by offering a true insight into your life.

The mask works so well, you look completely different to the man with the stick.

"I can see you!!" :eek::D

Yay, second week completed! :woot: This morning I was in a bit of a silly mood and this was what I came up with. I like to think I have a good sense of humour and that is often what keeps me going. So much so that it often hides the layer below (Back to the masks then. :D) This is one of the reasons I always feel better when in the company of other people, it's probably why I spend so much time in this place as well. When things aren't at their best, I'm still able to have a laugh and a joke, so whatever you give up, always hang on to your sense of humour, I know mine is very precious to me.
