Im planning on going to Buxton again today as Ive got a new toy (1d mk4) but having (tried) to read the dataco stuff on here I'm confused.

Does Dataco cover non-league teams in the FA cup, I know it would do if either team was a Premier league or other leagues down to the conference but if both teams are below that level??

I apologise as the info is probably there but just having trouble deciphering an unfamiliar subject......bit like exposure/autofocus/etc etc.

All content gathered at Premier League and Football League matches plus FA Cup rounds between Round One Proper and the Quarter Finals are protected by Media Accreditation Agreements with the media companies collecting content.

So it does cover non league teams but not until round one proper

Does that mean that you couldn't photograph a Round 1 tie between two Conference teams unlees you have a DataCo liicence? For me, the DataCo statement on 'Photos and text' is as clear as mud.

My understanding is that as the FA cup progresses and higher leagues play non-league, if you have a non-league licence you are covered if the game is at a non-league ground. Something about the ground rather than the clubs playing?

Thanks kipax. Glad it's not just me that finds it confusing lol.

well the link I posted is from the dataco website and would seem to disagree with you ?

That link doesn't make it any clearer to me, but I'm a dummy! Hey ho! Well, so far we have never progressed up that far, so the issue isn't likely to become important (but you never know ...)
