As topic says, bought it at a car boot sale just now, it looked unloved! Did I get a good deal? Looking at eBay I at least got a good £10 off what you'd expect to pay. However Ken Rockwell seems to think it isn't too great at manual controls which is somewhat disappointing.

Also, does anyone have any tips for using it? I've been using my beloved D90 lately, this is my first film camera!

All the best togs have a Nikon D90 and a Nikon F65.

Sadly it really isn't the best for manual over-ride but it's a more-than-functional little camera. The P,A,S,M modes from the D90 are there but I've never used the scene modes so can't comment on them. It's easy to load as well so stick a film and some batteries in and get going.

what matters is the film and the lens. you still can shoot some world class pics with this and you don't need to have a F6 to do so, although it would help if you did.

Well from what I've read, I can use my 50mm AF-D along with my 18-55mm VR and 70-300mm VR, am I correct? If so, I'd say I have some good lenses!

considering someone is trying to sell the lesser f60 on AVforums for £100, I'd say you got a pretty good deal lol.

it's a great camera, and if you're new to film, it's a good way to get into it before getting an older camera (if you'd wish to do so - which you probably will).

Only VR lens I have which is DX is my 18-55mm, other than that they're all full frame :) Thanks for the comments everyone!

I have an F65 and love it. I think I paid £10 for it on the bay. With my 50m F1.4 and some good film it produces excellent results.

That's a bargain, it never ceases to amaze me the bargain film cameras to be had on the 'bay.

Liking your avatar btw, let's hope he gets better soon

I've got a F65 and tried the 18-55 kit lens of my D60 and it does vignette only at the 18mm end
