Anyone know what channel f1s going to be on .

Sky Sports F1 HD

Half the races are live on the BBC, half live on Sky's dedicated F1 channel, which is free for current HD subscribers.

The races which the BeeB don't have live will have "extended highlights" shown later.

Quite what "extended highlights" means I don't know...

I think it's half the races live on the BBC but ALL the races live on Sky. Sky are also showing all practice sessions for each GP weekend as well. It's going to be awesome. Martin Brundle has signed for them as well.

All races will be screened live on SKY. And BBC have half live half extended highlights.

It's called SKY SPORTS F1

"The dedicated channel will be provided at no extra charge to all Sky TV customers who take both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 or the HD pack of channels. It will be found at 408 in Sky's on-screen guide, after a scheduled move of the Sky Sports channels. Sky Sports viewers without the Sky+ HD pack will receive a standard definition version."

I think this means you need sky sports or Sky Sports HD?

I read some time ago that the BBC will be able to screen the entire race (subject to their schedule) but at a later time, believed then, to be at least 1 hour after race completion.

This also happens to be the same stipulation that the BBC issued to Eurosport regarding Live coverage of the MOTOGP races, when they bought out those rights (and stuck it on the Red Button when it clashed with other programming! :bang: )

Is it Sky HD costomers or

Sky HD with Sky sports package customers?

I don't see it being available free to HD customers without sky sports?

Or wait an extra hour or two to watch the extended highlights :)

It's all HD customers, and also all Sky Sports customers (who will get an SD version if they don't have an HD sub).
