F Stop maybe the end???

It's really not a surprise to me - there had to be some reason they were so inept with their production and distribution. No company could manage to get the basics so wrong for so long without a muppet at the helm. I hope they pull through, as I love their products.

Shame but I spose the next question would be what's the next choice of Brand to match the Fstop

Peak design will buy the rights/licences, say hello to a £300 small ICU, crafted and re designed by photographers, for photographers... Preorder on Kickstarter

That's an interesting article. I've been using a f stop bag with 2 ICUs for the last 18 months, love the ICUs as it's easy to swap to exactly how much storage I need on each trip. it would be a shame if they went under but it's not surprising with how long it takes to receive an order. Delivery times like 3-5 months are stupid.

Unfortunately the guy (Ian Millar) who wrote the update article above (the one saying everything will be okay) has left F-Stop Gear (left a month ago, not long after the article was written).

Not sure if any company produces a bag quite as good as F-Stop?

I was recently looking to buy one of there bags but couldn't find one in stock and wasn't willing to wait months. Ended up going for a Mindshift bag who are the sister company to ThinkTank. I'm happy with it.

I didn't know that, I just found a link through another website explaining their bad business. I like their stuff and I hope they stick around but I might have to order a couple more things in case they don't, it'll be a late xmas present to myself

It doesn't look good... :( I wonder if anyone will step in and rescue F-stop. Their backpacks are fairly niche, but highly regarded.

For anyone unfamiliar, maybe most people as they're very hard to get hold of, F-stop's USP is that they're waterproof without needing a rain-cover, and equipment is held in a padded ICU (Interchangeable Camera Unit), with the whole thing slung on a light aluminium chassis. Serious trekkers and hikers love them, but for anyone else they're a bit cumbersome and not very convenient.

I absolutely love their bags and would have bought one 100% if I could have gotten one quickly. Did take me a while to justify £400 for a bag in my head, but as you say, they are unique.
