Following on from a few posts I have discovered the F-STOP Lotus and Ajna bags and am thinking of changing my 2 bags for one of these. To help decide on which bag I am trying to first decide on ICUs.

My question is around the Medium Slope. At most it would carry a gripped 5d3, sigma 120-300 sport, 24-70, 35mm art, sigma 150mm macro and a flashgun. Does anyone know whether this lot would fit or would I need to add a small problem in the top of the bag (and therefore go for the Ajna rather than the lotus). Also I would be putting an ipad pro 12.9 in as well ;)

I'd go for 2 small pro icu's but then I bought a large as well, I don't think that would fit though.

The slopes have a pro depth to normal depth and the 24-70 fits stood up in pro depth, pro depth will fit lens collars as well. In 1 small pro, I can fit a 6D with 70-200 ii attached and 24-70 ii and 85 1.2 ii. But I have another small pro with 2 flashes and modifiers/batteries.

Also, if you can get them from paramo you'd have them a lot sooner, I ordered the red bull Ajna 2 weeks ago from f stop, I checked to make sure it would be here by the "4-6" week window and I got an estimate of some time in spring and they don't split orders either so if it's not all in stock you end up waiting forever. I had to cancel a part of my order last year to eventually get my ICUs.

Good luck

Would you want any of it attached to the camera? The Large pro would likely be able to get that all in, I'm not sure about the medium due to the slope on the medium ICU. the 24-70 could likely fit standing upwards in the deep end but only sideways in the shallow end. The gripped 5d3 would need the extra depth of the deep end. I'm not sure what the diameter is on the 120-300 so can't say which way it would fit in. I can't say much about stacking a medium and small in the Ajna. If you can fit somewhere to test it out before purchasing or willing to send it back if you don't feel it works so well. The Ajna and tilopa are similar dimensions so it's worth considering the tilopa too.

I've been looking at the medium sloped but it's measurements are 2cm shorter lengthways than a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 attached to the camera. I plan to set out the large pro I have to see if I can get it in sideways rather than the normal upwards way. The only problem with f stop stuff is finding it in stock somewhere you can try it. Paramo London shop is good and I've taken kit there before to try fitting it into ICUs. Another option is googling medium ICUs to see if there are any images showing similar kit fitted in.

This guide to ICUs is useful. The confusion is where they say recommended and compatiable. ive found I'm happier with the fit and comfort of recommend rather than compatible.

Normally I tend to have one lens attached. I like the idea of having 2 pros, that way if I want to travel light (recently been going out with 35mm and 70-200) it leaves loads of room for a spare jumper or waterproof etc

Two Small pro icus are probably a better option than a medium sloped. I still don't understand why they don't do a medium pro considering they do the small, large and extra large.

In 1 small pro, I can fit a 6D with 70-200 ii attached and 24-70 ii and 85 1.2 ii

Do you have a photo of how the icu dividers are set up for it? That's roughly what I want to carry as a small kit but was looking at the medium slope icy.

They used to do a medium pro but they don't anymore, you might get lucky and see one on eBay.

It looks like this:
