I'm considering buying a set of Kenko extension tubes to try macro photography. My question is which mount?

I have a Nikon D5 and a Z9. I plan on using my Nikon F mount Sigma 105 macro lens which i can use on either camera with my FTZ adaptor.

Will the F mount tubes fit and work fine on my Z9 remembering i will have an FTZ adaptor between the body and the lens. Or should i just use the D5 and the extension tubes( hoping i can use on my Z9 as its the way forward).

I could get the Z fitment extension tubes but that wont allow me to use my Sigma 105 macro lens unless I fit the Z Mount tube on the camera and then the FTZ adaptor between the lens and the tube— would this work correctly?

Any ideas welcome.

In your case I would get the F-mount tubes; but I would plan to use them on the Z9 for the resolution (cropability) and built in focus bracketing.

Not sure if you could put the Z-tubes in front of an FTZ. Since everything has contacts/communication I would think it would work; but I don't really see any major advantage now or in the future... maybe 5 axis stabilization with some future great Z mount macro?
