Isn't that very similar to saying that if there aren't enough police to catch murderers, rapists and burglars then the police are at fault, even though any reasonable person would think that the fault lies with the criminals.

Nothing like that at all. Why? Simple really, Packages shipping in from Hong Kong with no duty paid, or to pay. That's going to raise suspicions straight away. Only needs to be put through an X ray to determine what it really is. They already have the resources to do that, it isn't stretching anything.

In the UK distribution is being affected with staff shortages and elsewhere I should imagine. Lets hope by now you've put the situation in perspective and think yourself fortunate you're not in hospital with Covid.

Some UK services appear to cope better than others though. I bought something off ebay. Hermes are "delivering" it, on their online tracker it says they had sent it to the wrong depot for final distribution. That is the last update, 5 days ago. Not everything is down to the virus.

Its not uncommon in the commercial world either, s*** happens.
