Well just bought a nice Pentax Flash from @TheGreatSoprendo which is incoming.
Coupled with my Pentax 645N Medium Format and the recent acquisition of 40 rolls of well expired 120 film I am good to go.

ha ha :-)

any one offering up bookings?

I'm sure the punters will love the expired film look that new stash of yours will provide. Why spend hours in photoshop replicating it, when you can have the real thing? (and you'll have to pay through the nose for it, young couple in love....!).

You laugh but a friend of mine does MF wedding photography. He does well for himself out of it too - people still appreciate the authentic look!

It's true, there are a few photographers still offering film coverage for weddings, and with the current retro and vintage trends still doing the rounds, they are generally doing quite well out of it too. Not sure I would trust myself to do it as main shooter on film [and it would mean changing my style of shooting completely for the day] however, give me a couple of F80's - I already have one - or similar, something with AF so less to worry about, that I can load with different ASA film, I think I would brave it as a second just to see how it worked out.

I think he does wedding portraits, rather than the reportage style of wedding photography, capturing every little bit of the day - so the bride and groom sitting together, group shots, that kind of thing. He also does spreads for surfing magazines, those are very popular.

I have loads of expired 120 which came my way mainly Ektachrome.
So when Francescos flash arives I am going to run a test role using the flash.
Might go find a nice indoor space.

It's scary when people depend on you for important photos, I always cover myself with two cameras (even pottering around and taking shots for my personal use)..... so for a wedding on film I would have the RB67 on a tripod (but can use off as I have a prism and grip) and the Etsi for moving around and the most important shots duplicate with each camera.
