does anyone else lose these?
I have lost 2 in the last few weeks, one from each body and as such have decided I ought to grab some new ones, genuine canon are 9 quid a pop in LCE in town, was gonna hit the bay or 7 day shop but was wondering if losing them was an issue for others, it never used to be for me.......

I've never lost one, but I bought my girlfriend a 400D on eBay and it arrived without one. I e-mailed the guy and he said it was there when he put it into the box.

I'm struggling to find one -- every 2nd hand one on eBay tends to go for £8 or so and I can't find anywhere to buy them new. I managed to get one for £5 but it turned out to be the larger one so I had to return it.

Anyone know where I can get the smaller one for the 400D/450D/1000D?

I regularly used to lose them on my 400D - and I paid for genuine Canon ones too.

Annoying

Can't you put a little bit of Blu-Tack on where it connects to? If I ever loose one that's what I'll attempt.

I lost 2 on the 20D. A thin strip of double sided carpet tape under the eyepiece solves the problem - it wont be going anywhere.

good call CT shall just have to pick a new one at some point oddly enough the on for my 450d is the same as for my eos 500 film body, weird

The eyepiece on the 20D was rubbish - it just didn't click and lock in place at all. Wearing specs just gave enough grip and drag to unseat it -and there you go - lost another one!

They seem to have done a better job on later models - the 40D and 50D certainly.

I lost one from a 1DIIN, it used to fall off at random. Conversely the 1DIII seems to hang on as if it's glued, even when you actually want to remove it.
