Yes
Tesco were having free eye tests ,so thought why not and made an appointment and went yesterday.Routine eye test thought me( I wear glasses for reading) but NO,they called me back 3 times to test pressure in my eyes.
Turns out my left eye has a high pressure reading which usually means Glaucoma,so optician has referred me to eye clinic at hospital.
I always though my left eye was my good eye(use this one for my camera) I even got that one wrong
So it pays to get your eyes tested every few years because if it wasn't for Pete telling me to get them done I would never of known till it was too late.

eye drops dont bother me as long as they dont hurt

fixed ;)

Glaucoma doesn't cause any problems until it's too late, eyes are important not just for photography :rules:

*I'm diabetic, don't talk to me about eye problems :'(

I have an appointment soon = new glasses yay!!!!! (I do get excited about that )

Type 1 or 2?
I assume you have the renal photographs taken every year?
Last time I had them, I noticed they use a DSLR to take the pictures with too!
I really wanted to take it

Type I. They've just discovered retinal (renal would be kidneys ;)) photography here, for the last 27 years they've been sketching my eyes in my notes :bang:

Yep, my mother suffered from it so I got free eye tests as her son till I got so old :( I now get em free anyway, But as a sufferer Eileen you now get free eye tests.
If you go for one be sure to mention you are a sufferer and they will put it on the form and you do not pay.

Your eyes are a window on your health, many problems can be spotted by an eye test so get them done at least every two years if not every year. Here in gods country we get free eye tests anyway so no reason for us no to get it done.

DUH - renal  it's been a long day :help:

edit: I've always had the eye retinal screening, although I think it's fairly new.

My daughter is doing an Optometry degree and I was surprised how many health problems can be diagnosed early via the eyes.

Hope I get free eye tests too, bet I don't though

I've just got a letter for mine next week - time to get some cooler glasses :cool::cool:
