Eye sight and EVF help

I am due to have a a new camera ( amazing to me as it's not 40+ years old) delivered today, but I have been thinking about the EVF . As I am beginning to need glasses for close up work I'm wondering if this will present a problem ? I've never used a camera with an EVF and my logic tells me that I will effectively be viewing an image close up by using it.

Many cameras have inbuilt di-opter adjusters for the EVF so you can tune to you eyes. Some earlier generation mirrorless cameras do not, but for instance all the current Fujifilm X series cameras have diopter adjusters, I'm sure other manufacturers will as well.
 
My old Nikons all did as does my xt2. Not had a issues with either.

The di-opter adjuster is for your eye not what the camera sees .

I use a Nikon Z6 and have had a couple of Sony A73/R3s and Fuji XT2/XT3. I normally wear varifocal glasses as my eye sight is becoming a bit of a mess but when using a camera I remove my glasses and use the EVF without them. I have found I can use the cameras diopter dial and set it such that I can see perfectly..... it makes a big difference for me by being able to take my glasses off. I hate banging into the back of the camera when wearing them :)
