So it's not just me  I'm stockpiling them now so that I've always got a spare

I don't lose eyepieces it's the damed TOE cap that for some reason disappears. I think if I lose the next one I'll glue tit's replacement in place. I've lost 2 in 10 months.

I go through them like blazes.......:bang:

Especially the eyecup type when using my long lens.

I have lost loads i just order 2/3 at a time now.

What on earth are you doing with them?

If they knew surely it wouldn't happen any more :p. I confess to losing one last year, it turned out that a replacement was a lot more expensive than I imagined it to be. Bummer.

When I take the siggy I carry it on my shoulder using an Optech tripod strap, when I climb gates, fences and stuff then it kinda moves about across my back or hips, this dislodges the eyepiece so that it falls into the nearest muddiest hole. I do find some of my old ones every now and again.....:D

I keep promising myself that I will take it off between locations and stick it in my pocket, but I forget.

I lost mine somewhere it had been loose for ages, haven't bothered to replace it and i don't miss it tbh.

I lost mine at Focus last year, thought to myself, couldnt be in a better place to replace it...........do you think i could bloody get one!!!!! Hundreds of camera shops in one place:thinking:

Dean:)

I have always used the eyepiece extenders as I find it makes it more comfortable to use and have never lost one despite looking as if it would be easily knocked off, seems to be a nice firm fit on my 40D.

Just stick a thin strip of double sided carpet tape under the eyepiece. End of problem. ;)

Mine was once a firm fit..:naughty:....:coat:

I'm pleased it's not just me.

I went through 4 on my 400D. I eventually found one that I had to force on, and it stayed there.

The 50D seems to be a snug fit - so far.

Mine is a canny age but................:gag: nuff said:D they have mods on here:D
