Eye looks red until zoomed in and LR red eye not working...

Anyone? In a few of my flash shots, the eye looks red until you zoom in, then it looks fine (perhaps a hint of redness). But the red eye tool in LR just beeps and does nothing when I try it on some eyes (not others). Help!

And it's inconsistent - if I try repeatedly with SOME eyes, it eventually works. With others, it doesn't.

There's a little switch just under the red eye correction tool - make sure it's in the UP (on) position.
