Hello everyone. I'm originally from Sheffield but moved down to a little village near Retford 19 years ago, I really miss the Peak District being on the doorstep as the area I'm in now is rather flat. I've been interested in photography for years, originally starting out at a night school class at Barnsley College run by Stan Bulmer Snr who's son now runs the business Stan Plus Stan Two in Barnsley town centre. That was back in the days before digital and loads of fun was had developing and printing black and white snaps.
I have recently rekindled my interest as photography is something I can fit in around my kids busy schedule, being a bit of a techy geek I am always interested in the latest hardware and software gadgets so it ticks a lot of boxes for me.
I have a broad range of photographic interests but am currently gearing up to have a go at macro which is something I've never tried before.
I'm also going to give a new variable ND filter a workout over Xmas as we have a few days away planned in and around Whitby and Robin Hood Bay.
Hopefully I'll have some results to post here soon.
