Hey All,

I have been out and about playing with my F1 but the light meter is a little intermittent. It works when holding at some angles so I believe theres a loose connection or something is sticking internally. Anyway, I'm half tempted to get it CLA'd and an attempted fix with no promises at around 150 GBP... or should I just bypass the internal meter with an external one?

A sekonic L358 which are about 80GBP...? An app on my phone which I use already but its just a pain and slow... Or perhaps a Hedeco Lime 1? Such as this... HERE

I like the hotshoe mount idea as it's quick to read and the Lime1 offers continual readings unlike the Reveni Labs one I believe. Plus it looks pretty sleek.

Anyway, just hoping to bend the ears of those who have tried them out! Thanking you.

A hand-held meter is more versatile. I use a mix of hand-held, TTL, built-in but not TTL and Sunny 16. Each has their strengths and limits and all work well in general.
