I have the WD 2TB Passport - best thing is that it is USB bus powered so you can bring it anywhere without worrying about a plug.

PC World has it for £115

I have two 1TB versions for my backups to be kept off site and they are cracking little units - compact form too.

Just had a look and Pc World do have them at £115, a bit to much for me, but the 1tb version is £79.99. Will have a look round and try and fish out the best value.

I have just found this 1tb sony for 59.99

PC World has the WD 1TB for £69.99

But the Sony one does look nice and it's USB powered. It looks like £59.99 is the cheapest i can find as well.

Remember not just to go by price.

Speeds can vary a lot, which will make a big difference when transferring gigs of data.

Reliability is even more important, some of the cheaper boxes can overheat.

I have never used ebuyer, how good are they/is the site?

They are good and they are safe.

I've bought lots from them with no issues and I've had to send a couple of things like motherboards back under guarantee after several months and, again, have had no problems.
