Hello, as I also have another debate about what lens I should get I was also wondering if its worth getting a external flash. I don't want to drop a lot of money on one but just wanted to know if they're actually worth buying
Thanks

Is a flash (or three) worth buying? Hell yes. But you have to learn about light and how to use it. Tends to sort the men from the boys - it's about creating rather than just recording - but this is the kind of transformation you can get.

i'd get the flash first.... off camera flash will give a much more pro look to you pictures... so you'll need a long cord for it too

Thanks!

You don't need a long cord. There are tons of wireless triggers for speedlights that can be had for cheap and are far more versatile.

I started off with Cactus V4s from gadget infinity. They are pretty inexpensive and easy to use. I now use TTL triggers for on the fly OCF.
