Extension tubes

Seen a lot of extension tubes advertised for sale, many described as auto, only to find the the extension tube doesn't maintain an electrical contact between the camera body and lens. I know the Kenko ones are fully automatic. Does anyone know about the Jessops ones?

Good question, as the kenko ones aren't exactly cheap (what is in this hobby). Does jessops sell there own brand?

Jessops one are as good if not better than the Kenko tubes, the was an issue with some of the earlier kenko tubes not locking properly.

Can't find them on the website, unless they are not labelled as Jessops, are sold individually, and are quite a bit more expensive than kenko's, ie -

I may be wrong but I think Jessops stopped doing them earlier this year...had a big sell-off cheap and then nothing.

Discontinued last year, you pick up the odd set of second hand ones on the bay.

Good idea - there are a few sets on eBay now, but only 'AI' for nikon, which I guess are only dumb tubes?

You could always wait for the next raft of Jessops store closures and pick one up in the fire sale that follows as they always seem to have piles of old stuff tucked away. I'd imagine there'll be one soon the way things are going....
