Does anyone one know of a thread or site where there is a simple explanation of what each lenses does and relevant accessories?

I must add - its for a Canon.

You might want to try the Canon Japan site. Click for Link

It has a lot of information but you have to be patient. It runs a little slow at times. But Hopefully it will answer what you're looking for.

"Can my camera take EF-S lenses?

Any Canon EOS camera with a red dot on the lens mount can take EF lenses. Any Canon EOS camera with both a red dot and a white square on the lens mount can take both EF lenses and EF-S lenses."



This is just what I've been looking for! Cheers!!!
