Oops!

I just accidentally bought a D200 on ebay for £560 (Sealed, refurbished, 6 month warranty). :bonk: :cuckoo: :nono:

And earlier today I also bought a Sigma EM-140 Ringflash! (£200)

And earlier this week I bought a 10 stop ND grad filter (£60, milou's fault :p )

And I also applied for a Biological Photography masters, which if I'm accepted will cost me £6500 in fees!

So thats...er £7320 so far this week :help:

I think I got a bit carried away in the excitement of actually finding a postgrad course I really want to do! Interestingly, the paypal address I paid the money for the D200 to was Jessops, although the ebay name was "clear-r-gear". Seem to have a lot of cheap refurb stuff in their sales history - Sony Alpha 100 kits for £320, etc.

So, how much have you lot blown recently?!

Congratulations on finding your postgrad Masters - oh, and the photography gear as well!!

As for how much have I spent this week?? £230 on a new Billingham 550.

Good spending Tom.:thumbs: So far this week; 10 stop ND grad filter (£considerbly cheapre than yours tom(You get a 77mm one or something?)... milou's fault ;), and a IR remote shuuter for £10. Im just waiting for pay day at the end of the month, then i'll be ordering a 105mm macro lens.:)

I bought a set of studio lights and a tripod..... Now to talk the hubby into the 10-20 and the 70-200 f2.8.

Yeah I needed a 77mm one for my Sigma 10-20... was cursing the extra expense of large-diameter filters until today, when it all paled into insignificance!

Judging from what you've been shooting so far I think you're going to love that macro lens - although i can pretty much guarantee a flash unit will be on your shopping list for next month ;)

about 6K this month.

3.5k on 6 months rent in advance (don't ask, long story)
850 on deposits
1.3k on d200, cards, batteries and Tamron 90mm Macro.

Anybody want to buy a kidney?

D200 for 560 notes??!?!

/goes hunting with intent....:nuts:

Hmmmm. Maybe not. I could raise that by selling my 20D and bits, but I'd be stuck without a lens. Not such a clever idea!

D30 Kit == £599 :love:

30 railway sleepers == £480
120 screws for sleepers == £60
2 chains for chainsaw == £18
SDS powerdrill == £88
66 paving slabs == £120
Garden Office == £2600
Insulate + wire Office == £500

and my wife says that photography is expensive :thinking: :bang:

D200 at WE is only £815 with free Nikon Capture NX software (worth £119).....

Tempted to get a 2nd body,..... :suspect:

Sounds like an excellent deal! If only I had a spare 815 notes...

You're gonna love that D200 Ghandhi! :)

Loving it already.

I've just spoken to work and being as though I bought it through them it looks like I may be getting it all on the cheap, something to do with VAT?

If that is the case then I'm double happy!

Haven't had much chance to use in anger yet but will post some results when I do!

You building a railway? :D

I'm in the same boat, can't stop spending money.....:eek:

D200 in the last four weeks £810, plus £50 more on memory cards.
Furniture for a new apartment £4000
Football Shirt £1750 (signed by the team i support from 1987)
Could probably be off to the Champions League Final even (even though I support neither team) £1700 + beer
And also a stag do in Croatia next month.

Well, you only live once!

You'll enjoy the D200, I think it's an excellent camera and I waited quite a while to find a refurb, went for a new one instead.

Well, both the D200 and Sigma EM-140 ringflash arrived today :)

I had to take the morning off work to be in to collect them - I suspect I'm going to end up taking the afternoon off too! I don't think I;ve ever been so impatient for batteries to charge!

My week is already proving to be expensive.

so far it's cost me £1.20

I hate it when my tea slave goes off....:(

:)

Congrats on the purchases guys.
