Beginner EXIF data

Hi all, I've been looking through some old snaps to post and checking the EXIF data.
On my old D80 it days I had a 18-135mm lens that to the best of my knowledge it had a 18-55mm lens.
Does EXIF get it wrong or do I increase the medication?

I suppose it might get it wrong especially with a 3rd party lens.
Usually with a zoom you can also see what focal length it was actually taken at.
You might try more than one program to read the exif too.

It was the Nikon kit lens that came with the camera, tried it with other EXIF readers as well.
Perhaps my memory is worse than I thought!

I have a feeling that the D80 came with a choice of kit lenses! The 18-70, 18-55 and an 18-135.
