Exif Data

After reading about it on here I downloaded the "add in" for Firefox so I can read the Exif data on jpg images. Wonderful.

So, why is it that many other people who have cropped and reworked their images in PS manage to keep their Exif files ?

Mine don't and I'd like them to, am I missing something obvious ?

if you "save for web" exif goes walkabout
if you create a jpeg of the right size and pixel count exif stays on-board!

save for web and devices deletes EXIF
save as keeps the EXIF intact

IIRC you can only read the data on "on-line" pictures and not from you album something like opanda ( free) lets you view your pictures and read the EXIF as does canons own software

edit open opanda and drag a thumbnail from your file into the "box" and it will read your EXIF or right click
an on-line image and it should read it providing its not been removed as above
