EXIF & Cropping

Another Q for the experts!

I have figured out how to save my images with EXIF data from a previous question but this data doesn't normally get carried accross when I crop an image.

I normally crop in CS4 by selecting the area I want to crop, pressing Ctrl+X, then CTRL+N followed by CTRL+V, as it's nice and quick to create the new file and save...

Is there a way to crop while maintaining EXIF data ?
 
I thought the little dash lined box on the left was the crop tool lol...

Am still stuck in the office, I love these twelve hour days but will be playing tonight...
 
You could always select the area you want using the marquee tool and then select "Image>Crop" from the menu.
 
tip: Press the shift key while cropping to keep your ratio's correct :)
