I still have a lot to learn where studio lighting is concerned so please excuse my ignorance....but.... when you come to fix an umbrella to the Bowens L shaped support do you need another piece of equipment which connects onto the support (and if so, what do I need please). I see there is a hole on the base of the L shape and wonder whether something needs to fit here.
Sorry for the basic question

I think its a wide angled reflector with nibs below to take the umbrella shaft.
If I'm wrong please let me know.
