Excellent Service from kerso

please forgive a naive newbie question
especially as I'm sure Mr Kerso reads this thread :embarrased:
I am just a touch nervous about beaming money to a total stranger that I've only recently bumped into over the interwobble?

please make me feel ok about this - sorry if I offend anyone by even asking the question!!

I haven't bought from him myself but I've heard nothing but praise for his services. I understand your concern though :)

Been to his sister's house, she does the paperwork and shipping this end, Don't worry you'll get your stuff.

You are however absolutely correct in checking, there are a lot of rogues about!!

George

ps, Ian, the commission check is late this month!!!......only kidding!!
:clap::clap::clap:

My new 1Dn MkII and 24-105mm arrived today, excellently packaged and at a price that was untouchable, even through the Hong Kong lot on fleaBay...

Big thanks to Kerso yet again :clap:

I just recieved the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM & Canon EF 1.4x II Extender that i ordered from Ian (Kerso) and I saved over £270 on the WarehouseExpress price. That is some saving.

A big thank you Ian, and I'd loved to buy him a pint or three as well!

Up late last night, Sharkey!!
Ian is coming over in November, possibly, so I'm sure he'll let us know. Might get a few more bodies than we managed in Glencoe!!

I've bought loads of stuff from Ian (KERSO) but not via Ebay so have not been able to provide the very positive feedback - so here it is here:
Ian - thanks for superlative service, great prices and the personal touch! Hope to buy more soon!:clap::clap:

I feel left out!! He couldn't help when I wanted the canon 35mm f/2. Well, he could but he couldn't beat the current online price of 184 + postage. In the end I got it for less anyway. This isn't a complaint or criticism btw, I guess he can't be a super hero all the time!! Maybe he'll do me a good price if I decide to get a nifty fifty!!

teddy72 may be if we order one each he will. PM me Ian with a price then I can sing your praise. I know everyone here recommends you so I know you can be trusted and would tell anyone not to worry about dealing with you.
Bob:thumbs:

Ian I will pm you about nifty 50
Bob:thumbs:

Another thumbs up for Kerso from me!

Just received a 40D and a 70-200L from Ian today. No problems what so ever! Thanks Ian!

Found this site whilst researching Kerso before my purchase. Great Site! Look forward to posting some pics from the new kit soon...

Ian

I would also like to add my thanks to Kerso, ordered on Saturday and kit arrived today, top man and top kit. I will be using him again.

I ordered a 17-55mm on Thursday, but it hasnt arrived yet.
I did email him outside of Ebay, but didnt get a reply, so i just bought it and paid through PayPal as i needed it for Sunday and couldnt wai for a reply.
Alas it didnt arrive so now im without it for the weekend AND ive lost out on a discount

b****r.

Hope it arrives next week.

Haven't you heard? It's Christmas! The mail is a bit unreliable right now.

Sorry, must have said i got an email from Ian saying that stock is arriving this week for dispatch.
So it hasnt even been sent yet.

He won't let you down! :)

I paid for it Thursday thinking it would be posted Friday to receive it Saturday (as it does say next day delivery). Not too much to ask im sure, but i know i will get it this week.

cant wait for it. Just wish i could go back to last thursday and wait for a refund, wouldnt be in any worse position than i am now. :(

RM doesn't deliver 'next day' stuff on a Saturday! As long as he posted it - then it's down to the mail. You were asking a lot of the delivery service this time of year.

If it's RMSD its £2.00 extra for a saturday delivery.

Not that i want to repeat myself, but i have had an email saying its going to be delivered next week, waiting for stock of the lens, so it doesnt matter if RM deliver on a Sat, its not there to be posted out.

Just had an email. He is 'hoping' to post it out tomorrow. If he does, and it is delivered next day then it wil be 6 days from purchase to my my door. Not the best "next day delivery" ive experienced.

If i were you check if there is stock first.
Having said that ....
I did email him before my purchase but i didnt get a reply !!!!!

Its a shame as i have bought 3 things from him in the past and been 100% happy, just the one thing that has gone wrong and im not sure i would use him again.

You didn't notice this under the postage and packing section then?

*Sellers are not responsible for delivery time. This information is provided by the carrier and excludes weekends and bank holidays. Note that delivery times may vary, particularly during peak periods

So even if it had been in stock the best you could have hoped for was a Monday delivery.....possibly not even then given that this is probably the most "peak period"

OK, so what does it say about selling items on Ebay that are out of stock ??

Bit naughty ?

There are 1000s of ebayers who sell goods for drop shippers and they hold no stock what so ever!

So is it OK for someone to sell a £550 lens with £10 next day delivery charges and post it out a week after its been paid for ? Bearing in mind its only a MAYBE that its being posted tomorrow.

EDIT : To be honest as long as i get it before Christmas i wont care. Its just i need my 17-55 as i dont have any lenses at the moment (unitl my 50mm 1.8 arrives). Im nmore upset about not getting a discount when i should have waited and done a deal outside of Ebay, buy used the Buy It Now thinking that was the only way to get it before 25th.

Hey ho, need to be more pateient in future i guess.

Im not having a go at you Kinchy, just an observation in general..

Isnt it a shame that people can have good service time after time, but as soon as ONE thing goes wrong, people start saying.. im not useing them again ECT..

Iv had a problem with an item that i was told would be posted on the 3rd of Dec.. but iv heared from the person involved.. they have a very big following and are very popular.. so im not happy with the service THIS time, but id use em again as i know that sh*t happens..

This is just my look at people in general and is in no way directed..

you lot got me all worried , my 70-200 f4L had dissappeared off his ebay shop while my cheque was clearing . . . aaahhh no toys for christmas :runaway: :runaway:

I just have recieved my first bit of L glass, thanks to Mr.Kerr .
A nice little 70-200mm f/4 L IS, now sitting waitng to be played with!!:naughty:

He won't let you down! :)

Well he has never let me down on any of my orders totalling thousands of pounds. He is ultra reliable and will always keep you informed along the way. Please bare in mind its christmas though so things may take a little longer to happen. Ian (Kerso) does have a life just like everyone else

You are aware that even though you pay by Paypal the seller has no guarantee of the money until AFTER it goes into their bank account and that can take 5 - 7 WORKING days from the time it's withdrawn from their Paypal account. Plus he isn't always in the UK as he spends a lot of his time in the USA so might not have been able to post it right away anyway.

I wouldn't be posting to someone I didn't know until after the cash was banked, might explain the postage delay.

It's a common scam on ebay to pay via Paypal, receive the item within a couple of days and then do a chargeback claiming that the item was never received, buyer gets immediate refund from Paypal and also has the item, it is then up to the seller to chase up Paypal and the buyer to get his money or the item back.

I have now stated on my ebay listings that the item WILL NOT be posted until the cash is in my bank account. Taking into account your purchase on the 13th, the cash wouldn't be in Ian's account until the 20th so I expect posting to be on 21st or 22nd which is last posting day for RMSD, I suspect you will have the item by now ?

If unhappy with Ian's service, then simply go elsewhere, pay more and wait longer - unless you walk into Jessops and be totally ripped off

I have bought a good few 100 £'s worth of goods from Ian and always get a great service.

Mike.

How do you find him on ebay or do you have to go by email?

Any update on this Kinchy?

Kerso posted my kit (RM special delivery) 20 Dec - apparently :(
