But surely that works all year, only after your birthday, not just today? (or am I missing something) And, it happens every year, after you've had your birthday (I just checked)

PS though as it is the "age you will be this year" the maths would still make sense........unless one is born on 31st December you might not see yourself as a year older in the given year ~ but is that being pedantic;)
