Yes
Just had the telephone book delivered, thought they had stopped delivering them long ago. Do people still use them? Most people I know, and my neighbours would probably stick em straight into the recycling without even opening them. My missus was going to stick ours straight into the bin also, but I thought lets have a quick nose. Don't know why I bothered, it is full of adverts for insurance and all that type of stuff.

The book has also gotten smaller, at least not as wide. It is about 12in long and about 6 inches wide, with about three hundred odd pages. This is one phone book I could rip in half :)

There are still a lot of people out there without any Internet who may have a basic cell phone for emergency calls only and a phone book could be handy especially the Yellow Pages.

Not seen the Yellow pages in ages ..

Very rarely use the phone book but do sometimes refer back to an old one to find post codes.

Only really keep the landline for the internet and because it's more reliable than mobile signals.

Would love an old phone book 1970s to help track down some relatives, been to libraries searching but always seem to run out of time .

I try to intercept the guy that delivers the BT book , but if it gets left on my doorstep I bang it straight into the bin.

Its like those leaflets for pizza places, no idea who delivers them. They get delivered when nobody is watching :)

Like arclight, mine goes straight in the recycle bin these days.

It's pointless. It's not complete, it's not uptodate, waste of paper.

Haven't used one for ages now, but we still have one from about 10 yrs ago. It's good for finding #'s of folk who've gone ex-directory. ;)

As a child I loved it when it was delivered, I'd sit down and try and find 'us' and then get excited because there we were lol..

Even then I needed to get out more :D

We had it delivered to the shop a couple of weeks ago. Wiled away a boring shift hunting through it for people we knew, people with comedy names etc.

Ah yes looking for silly names was always good when you found one.

A Wang was rather funny :)
