all the MJ talk got me wondering if anyone has ever paid their respects to anyone famous?

I went to John Peel's funeral in Bury St Edmunds. Thats the only one I've ever felt the need to go to.

Looks like you have a unique claim to fame
with that one Gary

unless of course you count the sobbing hoards that attended
Princess Di's

Only Princess Diana's but I was working...does that count?

Colin McRae and Michael 'BEEF' Park, both world know in rallying terms, Mcrae a house hold name, Park (who i knew personally: lived next door to my uncle) tragically died in the 2005 Wales Rally Great Britain (WRGB)

That's the only famous one's iv'e been to

Sadly a mate, bike road tester and racer died at the IoM TT, his funeral was very sad and the Queen song still puts me deep in thought when I hear it, famous, maybe not, in the bike world well yes I guess so. RIP Gus.

I remeber Gus, or 'Sack Face' and he was so fondly known as I Performance Bikes. He was a legend, really funny and a very talented rider. His name came up at the weekend when I was at Donny for WSB and met Trevor Franklin.

I had planned to go to McRae's funeral, but at the end didn't have a way of getting there, Totally gutted as I'd liked to pay tribute to him. True Legend.

Dion!

The oddest thing I ever saw was a letter in a magazine from a vicar pointing out that when you're feeling really down just remember that an anagram of funeral is 'real fun':nuts::nuts:

We went to the lying in State of the Queen Mum.

It was a friday evening, we had both listened to information about it on the radio and they had decided to keep it open throughout the night to allow everybody a chance.

About 10pm we thought why not, it will be quiet through the night.

We arrived at 11.30 pm and found the queue was across Lambeth Bridge and back along the embankment the other side opposite Westminster up to the other Bridge (Westminster Bridge?)

We finally made it into Westminster Hall at about 0830 the following morning.

It was a remarkable experience, If I did it again I'd take more appropriate clothing, we hadn't expected to be there all night!

So you're going to kill another Royal...:gag:

I didn't kill that one, so if I did kill one it wouldn't be "another".

I have every confidence that another will die, it is the way of things.
