I'm tendering for an event in December, which is going to be a 'Celebrity' themed party.

Now, as well as providing photographic coverage of the evening, I'm going to enter in the spirt of the event and play the 'Pap' - an idea the client is very keen on.

So, what I'm asking is what do I wear and how do I act? Any paps out there can suggest a few tips?

Jeans, trainers, hooded top and an aggressive attitude.:bat:

Whereas the trainers, hooded top with attitude thing is probably quite close of real paps I think you are better "hamming it up" and going with a "press" card in the brim of your hat approach. Perhaps see if you can get a couple of extra shooters to join in and create the "press pack" experience with many flashes going off (I am sure some people on here would welcome the chance to join in for the experience at no cost to yourself - I know I would if you were based near me).

Sounds like a fantastic idea though - good luck for your tendering

Er, yes, I guess there's always that!;)

I was thinking along the lines of the '50s pap: Trilby, overcoat, you know the kind of thing.

That's more the kind thing I'm going for - I'm down in Kent so if it comes off I'll investigate beefing up the numbers a bit, I think that'd go down very well!

The back-to-front cap is mandatory yob garb. Also: you can't use a cam with flashgun if you wear a trilby or a cap (the 'normal' way). It is permanently obstructing.

Good point about the hat - looks like I'll have to re-think the plan a little.
