Just joined so thought I'd best introduce myself. I'm Mandy (u might have guessed) currently living in hartlepool. Been here 17 yrs but from Middlesbrough originally. I'm a biker so hoping to get the photography running nicely along with that. I work in a primary school and have two sons.
Very new to photography. Always liked taking pics (well hey, who doesn't?) Just bought my first dslr Olympus e500.
Auto is Grt but I want to Get away from that. Been doing lots if reading and viewing of dvds but help from real people has got to b a bonus right?
Also trying to get my head round Photoshop and gimp.
Been looking for a basic night course locally too. Any help and advice much appreciated.

welcome to the forum, sounds like you have the right attitude and enthusiasm, you'll soon get to grips with things like that. (reading, dvd's learning, asking)
Loads of people on here who specialize in different fields and some very helpful individuals.

So if you have any specific questions, please use the search function first and if that doesn't help fire away.
