Well it seems i have found a new home for the forseeable future.
In Joe and im from sunny old Ashford in Kent. Been into photography for around 2 years now, Bought my camera really with the sole purpose to use with my telescope for long exposure of nebula but have been using it more and more in my daily life (walks to the park and outing with family etcetc) and have really been finding it heaps of fun.

Main type of photography im into is urban long exposure and derelict buildings and factorys.

Well hope to learn lots here as im a total newb looking to learn and hopefully add a little something to the table myself if i can.

Thanks a Hi

Joe

hello Joe,

thats is something that interest me, derelict Buildings, i have done my fair share off HDR and Pseudo HDR with some crack result, i love how that stuff looks, and really enjoy the Post Digital Editing, i am very much into the whole RAW processing and HDR effect,

unfortunately i never seem to be able to find any decent derelict stuff around near me, where do you find these places...

i like real moody shadows and reflected light that i bet you must see in some places open to the elements..

Welcome, it's a great site with plenty of info and advice if you need it.

Hi Lambiepie,

I love HDR not tried any of this myself as still a complete novice. I know the style i like and dont like so i know what im looking for just need to get used to my iso, aperture, shutter speed to get the shadows and feel i want. Then i will start to mess around in photoshop. Cant wait..

Im quite lucky in my job as i travel alot, (dover right through to camberley)so i get to see alot out my window, I have a little book i keep with me and any buildings i like the look of i write down the gps position from my sat nav and go there in my spare time. Wife hates it and thinks its to dangerous but im a builder and i work in unsafe buildings all the time, i always were a hardhat a high vis and tell my wife exactly were i am and text her when i enter a building and when i leave. My mates think im nuts going into these buildings alone but it gives me a right buzz.

Keep your eyes peeled you will find them.

If i find any in Surrey and your up for it we should hook up im always up for seeing other people in action for tips etc

Joe

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, already learned heaps in the tutorial section. This site is a god send.

Just adding my welcome as I've posted on your other thread. Another Ashford based newbie here  There's an Ashford group on flickr btw and feel free to add me on flickr if you're on there too :)
