Hi all, joined this forum on the recommendation of a friend. I've been dabbling in photography for a while but only really got more into it last year when I bought my D70. Prior to that, a while ago I was using an old minolta 35mm and to be frank burning lots of money on film and development. The primarily manual set-up meant a lot of dead shots on a steep learning curve. The D70 has freed me up from that and I'm looking forward to getting my D80 soon as the better display wil help with my slightly deteriorating sight before I go for some glasses.
Had a look round on the critique forums and it's been really god to get a look at some very different styles and subjects. Will be spending a bit of time getting to know the 50mm prime lens I just got from the forum and maybe posting some shots up soon.
