I used to quite fancy her a few years ago.
In fact, I even went as far as to buy a Sat Nav, with her voice on it.

I wasn't very happy with it, I must admit
It kept telling me to turn around,
and every now and then it would fall apart.

I watched the whole thing for the first time in years and I feel like three hours of my life have been stolen from me. I really was astounded at how political the voting has become. The presenter Graham Norton was able to predict in advance how most countries would vote!

Most of the songs were truly forgettable. The only highlight was the Greek entry. The winning entry was marginally better than the rest - but only marginally.

Been that way for a long time. Terry Wogan used to pretty much reveal the entire scoreboard before the votes were even counted.

I really don't know why we bother entering.. We won't win, even if by some miracle we did, do we really want/need the expense of having to host the damn thing next time?

It comes to something when the best song on the night was one entered specifically by a country who really didnt want to win as they are enough financial trouble as it is.

I don't think the voting is anywhere near as bad as we try and make out, people seem to forget that close neighbours tend to have similar tastes and that is not always what we think is right. If we had watched both semi finals, I guess we would have an idea who would be voting for who just like Graham did.

They spent a lot of money on their own selection for a country you say did want to win.


The national selection, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, remained the same as in previous years. A selection jury selected six songs in open competition among the songs submitted to the broadcaster. Additionally, four participants were invited based on editorial considerations. In total, ten songs participated in the national final out of 692 songs submitted.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013 took place on 26 January 2013 at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning, which has an audience capacity of up to 15,000.

The intervals acts that performed during the show were last years winner Soluna Samay, Johnny Logan, Brotherhood of Man and 1984 Eurovision Song Contest winners Herreys.

After all ten songs were performed, Simone, Emmelie de Forest and Mohamed Ali were selected as the top 3. Emmelie de Forest won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song "Only Teardrops" after receiving 11 points from the jury and 15 points (50% of the viewer vote) from the public.




Maybe if we held a televised show at a packed O2, where the public can vote we have a chance of winning.
